Our Approach

Therapists at Sanctuary Counselling and Training employ a strengths-based, client centered approach to therapeutic work in a trauma-informed, attachment based model.

Our approach integrates depth therapies to explore the core issues, behavioural modalities that teach and build skills, trauma processing to reduce intrusive symptoms and embodiment techniques to really gain a felt sense of safety, self-compassion and calm.

Our trainings incorporate the latest neurobiology and trauma research  and are delivered in an accessible and authentic style that prioritizes group experiential learning, arts-based activities and use of self.

We create a safe and comforting environment that allows our clients to explore their own creative path to healing, learning and growth.
